Losing 4 in a row to a crappy rival is different from losing 4 in a row to a top ten program. You can't make arguments in a vacuum - it demands context.
We're not happy, but ignoring all the good things Dabo and his staff have accomplished because we lost 4 in a row to a top ten program is a severe case of tunnel vision.
If we had the exact same team and played a typical, crappy Gamecock team from the Bowden years, we'd be 11-1 and wouldn't be having this conversation - *nothing* would be different about Dabo's staff or different about our team. Yet your opinion of him would be completely reversed based on how good the Gamecocks are this year compared to how good we are.
This board has a sick obsession with comparing our program to our rival. We should be comparing and evaluating our team to the rest of the field. South Carolina is going to be good some years, and bad some years - let's judge our team on how we are improving compared to all 117 FBS schools instead of cherry-picking 1 single program for the comparison and evaluation of performance each year. It's just ludicrous.
