Addressing the Secondary issues

Jan 11, 2013, 9:31 PM

Just wondering if we have any good targets go help improve our secondary. I know Travis Blanks was a home run but he can't cover everyone and it is obvious we are attempting to rebuild the D line. But what are we doing to address the pass defense?

We already have Jayron Kearse, Jadar Johnson, and Cordrea Tankersley when he gets his ACT score up one point; we are also still going after MacKensie Alexander and Adrian Baker.

forgot about him, and iI just hope the defense next year plays like they did against LSU. I iI just feel like we are SO close to a National Championship team.

U are right of course but the problem remains that they were not very good

This is a two part issue as I see it. Credit to Dabo for making the coaching change in the secondary. I was not in attendance for the Chik-fil-a bowl but the improvement of the secondary was obvious even on television.

The talent aspect of this is hopefully being addressed in the next two recruiting cycles.

The big problem we had this year was not being able to pressure the QB. If we pressure the QB they cannot sit in the pocket and pick apart our secondary. This was evident in the LSU game. The QB didn't have time to sit in the pocket and thus he didn't complete that many passes and for only 120 yards. Go Tigers.

Not true about the pass rush by the end of the year was pretty good. The corners lost us the USC game. We didn't have the pass rush that USC did but don't think many teams did.

Either way the DL and secondary will be much better combined

in 2013 from start to finish. which will allow or LBS to wreak havoc like in the Ford Days.

If you're not "All In", then you're not about Clemson, at this point.

Go Tigers!!!
