Just read that FSU hired him. Worked (off field) for FSU for a few years. Apparently has spent the last two years working (off field) in the recruiting area for Clemson. Obviously, this is a low level position (I think his title at Clemson was Recruiting Assitant for Defense.) It will probably be comparable at FSU.

Just wondering if anybody here has any good information on him.

(Just for fun, don't take the rest of this post seriously.) I think I'll go post on my Nole Board, "I just talked to some Clemson fans and they say that Van Clay was single handledly responsible for recruiting all those AA's at Clemson for the past 2 years. They say Venables is doomed without Clay getting all those 5 stars. 'He was the real secret to our success.' "

Dang FSU is desperate lol. Poll Clemson fans and less than 1% has heard of this guy. Yet he is the chink in the armor and foundation of FSU once again being heard of in football... lol!
