Acuña done for reg. season, likely OK for NLDS
Ronald Acuña Jr. will not play the remainder of the regular season, but the Braves are confident their young National League MVP Award candidate will be ready when the NL Division Series begins on Thursday, Oct. 3.

He'll be ready next week for the post season, but the magical statistical year is in the books.

Well that answers that. Thanks for posting... I had asked before if the stats ran through the post season but I guess not.

I can’t really recognize bonds. Sorry bonds fans.

Way too early but I sure hope the Braves have found the next Hammering Hank!!!!

I’ll qualify that- there is one and only one Hammerin Hank...

I remember growing up we had bunk beds and a little tiny a m radio and we’d put it on real low- supposed to be in bed you know... and listen to the Braves. We’d get tin foil and open the window and stick the antenna w tin foil out the screen trying to get a better signal... Man good times!!!!

When I was a kid I was a big red machine fan living in Massachusetts of all places. I listened to a.m. 700 WLW. Man what a blowtorch coming in crystal clear at night. Marty Brenneman and Joe Nuxhall the best!

In addition to WLW, (in upstate SC) we also picked up WLS out of Chicago and WWL out of New Orleans - after dark and especially in the winter. MANY nights were spent listening to them for sports AND music!

WHYZ and WQOK both had to ‘crank down’ their transmitters at dark, so we could no longer listen to rock’n’roll after dark unless you were in Greenville.

Ah, the GOOD OL’ DAYS!

If you were starting a MLB team which player would you start with? I am a Dodgers fan, but I might go with Acuna.

Mike Trout is still only 28 too. Anyway, I would go Acuna over Vlad, but who's is really to say?
