thinking, and, I give Dabo credit for realizing this...starting with Hyatt. A Power Five school can sign the number one QB, RB, and WR, but, if you don't have the horses up front, forget about it.
It's like the NFL. Best player goes to the worse team and gets beat up...there is a reason why they are so bad. Many good college Qb's have had their career ruined because they went to a crappy team.

There's also an economic factor here. How long has it been since UcheaT put a WR in the first round? Having a QB that can throw the ball well enough to make it catchable and linemen who can give him time to throw a pass is a big advantage to a WR.
Even in the NFL, nothing says 'I'm making a bundle when I'm a free agent,' like stats.

We don't have the 5-star OL coming in next year, but these guys are all going to end up 4-stars and solid contributors.

Cordarrelle Patterson in 2013 to the Vikings in the 1st round was the last I can remember. A flash in the pan he was.

Dude has crazy skills with the ball in his hands. Never really showed it both at UT or in Minnesota, because he never developed any receiving skills in college

just signed two 5 star LBs, and hit some big targets in the secondary.
Not much to complain about over the last 3-4 recruiting classes.

Hyatt was a legacy. You need sustained success in bringing in and developing O-linemen and I have confidence they are on the right track.
