that made me have flashbacks.

Guy has been there 8 days came up to me with tears in his eyes. He said Mr. Bruce I can't find our boss.

Ok what's wrong?

Just got a call from Hospice and and it's my mom they told me to get there but I don't want to make anyone mad or jeopardize my job.

I just patted him on the back and said dude get the efFf outta here and drive fast! Because when I got that call I didn't get there in time. (was my dad though)

That has depressed me all day. :(

a couple of weeks after I got hired we got the news Mom had bone cancer. For the next 6 months my boss did everything in his power to help me, not only keep my job, but get me on day shift.

When I returned to work after my mom's passing, I thanked him for all he done for me during that tough time. I'll never forget him looking at me and telling me "make sure it was worth my while".

18 yrs later I'm sure there are lots of folks that wish he had just let me go, instead. ;)
