A little Monday night football trivia for the boards...

Jan 30, 2017, 10:25 PM

For those interested in playing, "What is the furthest away from Clemson that we have ever played a football game?"

Name the correct location of the game(s) to win. First one to answer correctly will get a TU.

Also bonus points (and bored glory) for those that can name the oppponent(s) played.

Didn't we play in Japan to open the season in the 80s?

This is correct, we played in Tokyo, Japan in 1982 a regular season game (coca-cola classic) against Wake Forest. Played there again in 1991 against Duke. Tigers won both. +1

Neither game was the season opener...Both were the last game

I'd imagine if the location doesn't help give away the opponent, then a bowl match up? Can I ask 20 questions lol?

Basketball might be a little tougher. Just kidding, I really don't care.

I did think about something like this before the schedule came out since BC and tech played in england. Wonder if they're doing that again.

Brad Brownell: Only Larry freaking Shyatt has a WORSE overall winning percentage among Clemson basketball coaches since 1975. Let that sink in. It's Larry Shyatt & then Brad Brownell.

The subject line was my initial response to the question without looking down the board.

When we played Wake in '82 - it was the Mirage Bowl - sponsored by Mitsubishi.

In 1991 when we played Duke - it was the Coca-Cola Classic .... or something like that.

Just call me Tim B. ????????
