CLEMSON (he's a UVA Alum). I replied "I'm sorry that you lose every game". Not to be outdone, he replied that UVA played in the ACCCG, to which I replied "Yes they did, for about 1 quarter".
This guy is a former professor at Wofford and former SC State Chess Champion, but I think I won that round. I still won't attempt to beat him at chess (as all my other attempts failed miserably).

I lived in Charlottesville for over 10 years and these Wahoos are idiotic in their hate for Clemson. Their football program is a joke, and all you have to know is that their tailgating staple of choice is Chardonnay and Brie. They don’t even have enough sense to cheer for their own conference. They are lucky to get 35,000 preps in the stands.

I currently live in Charlottesville (and have for 7 years now) and I've really had nothing but positive experiences with UVA fans. It helps I think that we're both super successful in the sports we care about (football and basketball respectively). I'm pretty sure OP's friend is an outlier.

At least your friend is honest with you . I have a friend that claims to be a Clemson fan . But it seems like he gets a little too giddy when we get behind . ( ex . the end of the first half against O St. )
I’d definitely rather know where they really stand .

Many of the posters here hate USC so much they pull for which ever team is playing them (and proudly).
Why should we be surprised that some other fans hate Clemson so much that they root for whichever team is playing us ?
