Me too. In my world, if you were dumb enough to pull out your electronic toys in class, they took them from you........and returned them at the end of the year. I wonder if I can sue the school district for not giving me an electronics break?

Dang, you poor kid. I managed to get some of those empty Carnation milk cans which worked great if you just stomped on them to make them attach to your shoes. Then you could have races wearing the cans on your shoes, which was lots of fun until you fell. I never realized that I was richer than some folk.

It is a different world. I don't even have a phone but I have a 21 year old son, and similar aged nieces, I know how addicted the modern kids are to their gadgets.
I don't see any real harm in taking "phone breaks". It's slightly contrived, but so long as the players are focussed during meeting time, then it should be okay.

I'm sure the owners who are paying the athletes millions of $$$$ are okay with their phone breaks.
Seriously, if your boss was paying you millions of $$$$, would you be okay with your phone breaks? I barely made 6 figures, but felt compelled to always give my employers their money's worth. This is just weird to me, but hey, the world has changed as I got older. Maybe it will work.

At the end of the year Kingsbury will give all the guys a championship ring too no matter how they finish. Times are definitely changing and I don’t think it’s for the better. More and more people are becoming soft and thin skinned. I’m all for change but everyone can’t be given a life trophy and told how great they are if they don’t put the work in.
