So, Mexico Is Considering Legal Action Against the US?

Aug 6, 2019, 12:57 PM

On average, 12 US Citizens are killed daily here at home by an undocumented immigrant from Mexico. What should the United States do to Mexico in response to that? I guess it's okay when an American dies because when it's the other way around it's racist.

Our country won't go on forever, if we stay soft as we are now. There won't be any America because some foreign soldiery will invade us and take our women and breed a hardier race.

Lt.General United States Marine Corps

Bad headline, to me.

Aug 6, 2019, 1:02 PM

The headline makes it sound like the government of Mexico would sue the government of the United States. That's not what the article says. It talks about legal action against the weapon manufacturer, and extradition of the suspect.

Where are you getting that stat from,?

Aug 6, 2019, 1:03 PM

"12 Americans killed by undocumented Mexicans each day". because a google search of what you stated is not yielding any results.

12x364= 4368 annually, which would essentially be 40% of of every gun death in america that is not a suicide. Sorry, that does not add up.

Possibly this includes Auto deaths? and if that were the case, no stats are taken in so far as nationality and legal status of auto deaths, not that I know of.

i think you are stirring the pot, or severely mis informed.

either way, do your homework before making such ridiculous claims, it is not helping.

not helping...what?

Do we need to "stay focused"?

I found this:

Rep Steve King (R-IA), one of the most ardent immigration hawks in Congress, estimated in 2006 that illegal aliens kill 12 American per day, which comes out to 4,380 per year, but the federal government does not keep track of such statistics, so any specific numbers are unverifiable estimates.

Great googly moogly. Steve King?

The dude is a whack job who seemingly hasn't gotten the word the civil war ended awhile back. He's so embarrassingly, derpily racist that even the derpy racists disavow him. Even Trump makes him fly coach; he won't let the dude on Air Force One, apparently. Yes, yes, I know it's CNN and therefore "fake news" but this wasn't a made-up story.

https://www.cnn.com/2019/06/11/politics/steve-king-air-force-one/index.html

And people are worried about AOC and "the Squad" when this dude is somehow in Congress. Lordy.

That's a made-up stat.***

75 Americans are murdered in Mexico each year.

I'm really sorry that those Mexican citizens were murdered but that doesn't negate the fact that Mexico is a ######## country.

Um, well, yeah, Mexico, particularly the northern part, is very dangerous. It's not very smart to travel there.

But Chesty's stat that 12 Americans are murdered in the U.S. daily by undocumented immigrants is 100 percent Grade A USDA choice made up BS.

and it is our own lust for the powdered goods that get trafficked through there that is creating all of that violence, as well as the refugee crisis in central America.

When you look auto deaths, gun deaths, suicides, and so on, Alcohol and drugs are the main drivers. You would think that we would wake up at some point and understand that a lot of American's problems are related to substance abuse, yet instead of addressing that, we lock people up and go after the sources of the drugs. It is just so incredibly absurd, at least until you understand that there are huge profits being made off of our suffering.

On average, 12 US Citizens are killed daily here at home by an undocumented immigrant from Mexico. What should the United States do to Mexico in response to that?

That's simply not true. Trump has repeated that but it came from a flawed analysis of a 2011 GAO report that was done by Mary Ann Mendoza an activist who supports Trump's immigration stance.

Mendoza's son was a policeman who was killed by a repeat illegal alien. The report she's talking about goes all the way back to 1955 and was conducted on statistics from "criminal aliens" not "illegal aliens". The GAO defines criminal aliens as “noncitizens who are residing in the United States legally or illegally and are convicted of a crime.”

The GAO, responding to the 12 a year statistic says it's completely wrong because Mendoza misunderstood the length of the time frame and she misunderstood the term criminal alien.
Further, since the report was published in 2011. So Mendoza just sort of made up the 'since 09/11' to suit her agenda.

And now you have repeated it...again. Facts matter and truth matters and what Trump and now you have repeated is demonstrably false.

From the GAO:

The arrests themselves “could have occurred between August 1955 and April 2010,” Young said — roughly a 55-year gap. To be sure, the report notes that about 90 percent of the arrests in the study population occurred after 1990.

For that reason, the GAO researchers “did not calculate [or] extract estimates of the number [of] homicide arrest offenses in a given year,” Young said.

Additionally, the term “criminal alien” is distinct from the term “illegal alien,” the phrase used both times the statistic was cited to Trump. The GAO report defines criminal aliens as “noncitizens who are residing in the United States legally or illegally and are convicted of a crime.”
