Because Spurrier knows he does not have a QB. He will give him whatever it takes to get him there. He would also be the big man on campus. Whereas at LSU and Fla.St., he would be just another QB prospect.

and i always thought notre dame wasnt the right fit for him. The kid threw for almost 5000 yds every season, i think he needs to be in more of a pass happy offense imo
