2016's Final College Stats for Clemson ( link )

Jul 5, 2017, 2:11 AM

Gives you an idea of where we've been, and maybe where we might be going in certain other categories.
It's a good breakdown, I noticed number of 1st downs, 4th down conversions & Red Zone success.
Our punt return totals stood out of course. We've got a lot of talent that can catch that ball and run. If Ray Ray can get it done, so be it. If Feaster can, so be it. Scott will be missed.

It also makes me wonder if we're going to keep the high snap count, if so, when, or all the time? Our defense is going to produce so many 3 & outs, there will be ample opportunity for the QB and offense to keep our red zone efficiency high, as well as first downs. We've not only climbed to the top, but we are in an upward trajectory I'd say. With some learning curves, it will all come together while our DL is the most feared QB sacking unit in the country. Just my take. Looking forward to a great season. Here's the link.

This is a very good look at stats from last year. Many strengths and a few weaker areas. Thanks for sharing this.

Thanks for posting! What was interesting to me is that according to this, we were only net 1 yard worse in punting.

Clemson Punt Avg. = 38.16
Opponent's Return Avg. = 5.20
Net Clemson Punting = 32.96

Opponent Punt Avg. = 41.89
Clemson Return Avg. = 7.94
Net Opponent Punting = 33.95

I have to believe that those's return stats should be switched, but, if not, the results are not what I would have expected.

The one that stood out to me was the interceptions to TDs

Opponents 20 Int 13 TDs an amazing stat

DW 17 int 45 TDs My recollection is the rule-of-thumb is twice as many TDs as Ints. DW was well over. So much for him having a "bad" season.

At the start of a season, any coach would take those numbers in a heart beat.

Great link, thanks.
