It's always baffled me why he didn't use any of his last 2 timeouts as soon as they stuffed us on 3rd down. He could've easily had 25 seconds left after the field goal. As good as UGA was returning kicks that day, it's not unfathomable that they could've gotten into field goal range themselves.

Hard to believe that at one point we were 29-0 all time vs. UVa .
Then George Welsh finally found some good players and turned it into a much better game in the 90's .

Welsh found some players but we found a Hatfield and the McCoys of VA had a reason
to fight CU. I have a very close friend who played in that period and the stories he has
told me would make a preacher cuss on Sunday morning from the pulpit.

Even if Danny had remained our coach, I doubt we would've maintained our winning streak against UVA through the mid-late 90s. They had some good teams then.
