$50 says DRad will send Leggett packing this year if....

A similar outcome ensues as last year. I don't think Leggett's contract was renewed either.
I'm telling you, DRad is only in his second year at the helm and things are different around Jervey. He sent Hoover packing due to a constant track record of below average (which he should have).
I have even gotten word that Penley shouldn't be too comfortable with his 2003 Nat'l Championship. Clemson's train has left the station and only consistent winners who do it the right way are going to be permitted to stay on. There is too much at stake to tolerate anything less, even in the Olympic sports.
Also heard that the ACC Network is ahead of schedule and will be a boon for Clemson Athletics (ACC as well). Stand by to see two new sports added by 2018 (after the new BB Arena and the new Football Operations facility are complete).

Had too much going on during his 1st year at the helm to go that route. Despite the obvious ineptitude of Leggett's last 6-7 years, it would have caused a "Mierda" storm if DRad would have axed him. Purely optics.
My own ignorant opinion though...

Penley shouldn't be comfortable. In my opinion, he retired on the job several years ago.

not to be contentious....and I don't want to wager....but barring some horrible situation (NCAA investigation, a physical altercation, or some sort of legal issue), it'd be very difficult to fire a Hall of Fame coach (and this is regardless of how little esteem Coach Leggett currently enjoys on Tnet) in the middle of a season even if it doesn't live up to expectations. (HOF'er Jim Boeheim is having a sub-par season AND facing NCAA sanctions and he hasn't been fired)
I'm neither defending Leggett (not that he needs anyone to do so) nor besmirching his efforts, but he HAS earned enough cachet to at least avoid a mid-season dismissal. If things happen as many are projecting, then Radakovich may make a move after the season's close. But realistically, I can't imagine Leggett being fired in the middle of a campaign.

I NEVER said he "couldn't" be fired him mid-season....I said I can't imagine it happening. gawd, I wish you people would actually read some of these posts before answering unnecessarily.

If we don't win 40 games this season Jack needs to go. Give them the first couple of weeks to get going and after that we will know for sure what kind of team they are.

already been priced out, including me. Johnny come lately big spenders are more important and I understand why, but the fan base is different now thanit used to be (empty seats for most of 3rd quarter, more interested in social aspect of games instead of the game itself, etc.)
