But it was bad advice. Another season could've made a difference but nothing to do now but use it as a cautionary story.

He’s not really going to get any faster in the 40 w another yr of college ball. He’ll try to get the time sub 4.5 at pro day and try to stick with a team via late round or FA like Scott did this year. The sooner you can latch on at the next level the better because you are closer to a 2nd contract which is where the real $ is unless you are 1st round which he’d never be. His snaps at CU were probably headed down this year anyway. He was ready to give it a go. He can come back for a degree anytime he wants. The thinking by so many on this topic is obsolete in today’s world.

They both never seemed to get on track with the weight program and never seemed to buy in all the way. They were good players and helped us in a lot of ways but seemed to leave a lot of potential out there. A little bit more dedication may have blew the lid off for them both to be greats. I always go back to body maturity. They never really filled out. Tells me they didn’t put enough work in. Could be wrong but... don’t think I am.

Maybe he had some leadership qualities, maybe, but we have much more talented WRs on our team IMO.
