Ran the Marine Corps Marathon this morning and met a nice young man

Class of 2013 who went to Clemson. Originally from Indiana and then joined Marines, then went to Clemson. We finished around the same time and got to give him a congrats as we limped about.

Also, saw a Clemson man at about Mile 21 in VA and with all the energy I had, yelled a Cadence Count - it got his attention.

I love our school and I love our county. I’m older now, slow, overweight, but if I can do it (this was my 3rd MCM) - ANYONE - who puts their mind to it can do it (to quote HC DS).

If you ever get a chance to run this race - do it, you will never regret it. The Marines put on an outstanding race.

Now, going to eat, and settle in for my Nats.

Did we fall out of the Top 25 this week ;) ?

Congrats! I have a good friend who grew up in the Baltimore / DC area. She says that is the best marathon there is with all of the encouragement.

Congrats on completing the marathon! My wife ran it too! I think that was me. Right at Water Point 10: Near Army-Navy Drive at Eads Street I was wearing a tiger paw and got a lot of "Go Tigers!" while cheering on the runners.
