it go. I hope they will keep the "Clemson House" sign. It would be cool to put that sign up somewhere in Death Valley.

Can this satisfy our requirement of tearing down and/or changing names of statues/buildings that hurt someone's feelings?
Then we can be done with that crap.

In the early days of the Clemson House the ground floor restaurant opened for a Sunday night smorgasbord, a delicious offering of well prepared food. My family and another family of special friends would drive over from Greenville for this event many times for a few years. Wonderful memories.

Agreed. I wish they decided to build a new C-House in its place instead of a parking lot. That place was special..."something in these hills" more like "something on that hill". I loved living there!

I'll be watching this on my computer from Colorado. I remember attending a brunch or two there in the 1950s, while spending summers at my grandparents' house in Greenville.

to get their haircut for their first time. The old guy that was the barber in there was a barber there for years. Really knew his stuff and showed the young boys what right looked like.

Also where we received our commission into the Army. Will be sad to see this place go.

dagummitt. And how will they be sure all the hippie's, hobo's, and homeless are out of there before implosion? There's always hippie's, hobo's, & homeless at places like that, right?

Hippies, Hobos, and Homeless; get out, FAST!!!

"I thought the business school was going there"

They're going to tear down the Clemson House and build all new buildings on that location for the Business School.

Some of my best college memories involve the C-Ho

I am incredibly sad to see it go. I can't decide if I should watch the demolition or not. I never did get to give the place a proper goodbye.
