RPI numbers for ACC teams "on the bubble"... interesting

Posted: Mar 9, 2018 11:31 AM

ESPN has FSU and VPI as a lock, NCSU as "should be in", and UofL and Syracuse as "work to do"..

Interesting considering the current RPI #'s:

FSU - 55
VPI - 60
NCSU- 63

Louisville - 38
Syracuse - 42

RPI is not everything. Will be interesting to see how much the commitee values it tho.

but it has been the "standard" in the past.. I'll be

interested to see how they mix that with this new "quadrant" system

NCSU at 63 seems like they should be on the wrong side to me... and UofL on the right side

I am interested as well. Also I think record should matter as much as rpi. If you don't have 20 Ws I don't think you should be in unless you win ur conference tourney and get the auto bid.

No...

And yes.

It is just like the cfp comittee. They will make a decision and then use whatever they need to support that decision. ..which is often rpi

But Bama is in at 46...

while Louisville (38) and Cuse (42), playing in a better conference, have work to do?

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

Oklahoma apparently also in at 49, Lunardi has an

Okie is out and Bama has to win the SEC tourney to get in imo. Neither have 20 Ws. The ACC teams should be in before them.

I agree, just going off of Lunardi's stuff.

I don't think either deserve to be in, especially with how Oklahoma has done over their last 12 games.

They both have star guards so it feels like they're just wanting to get that match up of Young versus Sexton, at the expense of more deserving teams.

think about this.. no team that went 2-8 over it's last 10

has ever gotten at at-large bid since the tournament expanded in '85...

OU would be the first if they get a bid

That and the fact they're 2-9 on the road just seems to
