Growing up in Anderson in the '50s, we got NBC CBS and ABC...We got "the game of the week". In our demographic that meant The Baltimore Colts...So i was a Unitas fan and of course Bart Starr was the feared opponent...Was fun watching 2 teams that went after each other 100%..Like Alabama and Clemson...

I remember those games in the 60s. I was a Johnny U. fan and my brother a Bart Starr fan. We used to fight all the time about who was the best. Prayers to the Starr family.

The Packers ruled when I was a young feller in the 60s, and Starr was their leader. A gutsy player, with the single-bar face mask. The "Ice Bowl". Another Icon passes, and I feel old.
