Ok so touchbacks on kickoffs are now moved to 25 yard line thanks to the SEC. Interceptions that result in touchbacks still go to 20 yard line. Why???? Just noticed this Saturday with our end zone interception. Don't see why it should make a difference. All touchbacks should go to the same position. If anyone has a real answer, it would be appreciated. If anyone wants to be a smartas$ and joke about the SEC, it would still be appreciated.

You're right, it's only kick-offs. Punts in the end zone come out to the 20 also. It was done to cut down on the high speed collisions on kick-offs.

While that is correct, I think it is stupid. If you are going to make it so there are more touchbacks, why not just get rid of the kickoff all together?
