Question about the drug test . . .

I saw it reported that they were sent home for suspension of team rules. Is the drug test not administered by the NCAA? If so, then how is it merely a violation of team rules rather than becoming ineligible for having tested positive.

Also, are we assuming it's PEDs, or something else?

Not certain about this, but I believe the NCAA tests at championships are done AFTER the games. So I'm guessing it was team administered, and guessing also that it was positive for street drugs. THC, for example, stays in the blood for over a month...so not sure when the actual usage was.
