Question About Highway 418

Jul 19, 2016, 2:10 PM

Does anyone know if highway 418 between Fountain Inn and August Rd (US 25) has been repaired/resurfaced since Thanksgiving? Last fall the road surface was in terrible condition.

Enjoy going this route to DV when the road is in decent shape.

Yes it has. It is a lot smoother now.

The work is done. I use it monthly to go to Anderson to spend time with my mother who is homebound at age 93.

I hate getting behind trucks on this road, especially with few areas to pass, but the road is much better.

It's much better but a lot of trucks use it to take a short cut from I-385 to I-85.

I'm not familiar with 418 being from the lowcountry , but I do know that AC/DC is on a highway to hell ( believe they live in Australia ) and apparently if you'd like to , you can get your kicks on Route 66 ...and that thing runs half the country .
