according to Public Policy Polling Data from 2011. Sounds like a bunch of Liberals to me! Plus, only 2 SC Governors have been Clemson grads...Strom & Nikki. Geez, no wonder things in the Palmetto State are so mixed up, IMO!

amount of graduates because there's 8 satellite campuses plus 2 former schools in Florence and Coastal Carolina under the USC system and only 52% of the population of SC are fans. I see probably more Clemson fans in the lowcountry than Shamecock fans.

Many polls like this gather results in the state capital. I seriously doubt the accuracy of that poll.

That is just a recent poll, and probably from a small selected base. There does seem to be many who have donned the chicken paraphernalia in the last couple of years mainly because of their newly found, temporary success. When hard times return to them, they will disappear again, and all will be right once again.

- Scar is almost a century older.
- Far more alumni, which in turn means that spouses, children, grandchildren, etc. take on their parents' school.
- It's the flagship university in the state.
- It's in a big city and centrally located.
- And, most importantly, South Carolina's public education system ranks among the lowest in the USA, which means there are a lot of stupid people in your state who choose to cheer for the chickens.

Statistically speaking, 50% of the people you walk past each day are below average... and average this day and age is pretty damm stupid. And to think half of them are dumber than that.
Doesn't surprise me 52% are coots. Given the number of public housing projects and trailer parks I see, I would have thought it higher.
There are lots of Clevons running around in South Carolina, breeding like rats.... and most all of them are wearing that rediculous chicken on their hats.

Until four years ago I was convinced there weren't any GC fans around. About 90% of their fans had been in hiding for over 100 years.
