Pulling for other teams to win/lose

I used to try to pick out teams to win or lose based on how I thought the other teams record would affect Clemson.
That could mean for divisional rivals or national standings or anything else that could affect Clemson.
I have now changed my approach.
I now only pull for one team to lose every weekend and that is the coots. I want to see them fail at everything.
In every other game I just want to see holes or weaknesses in the better team who may end up facing our Tigers.
The Bama vs scar game went perfectly for me last weekend because the coots lost and Bama showed holes in the defense and run game.
I hope for the same thing this weekend with other big games.
Hopefully we can see weaknesses in UGA, ND, LSU, OSU, and others that will make it easier for our Tigers down the road.
Last year we finished the season by beating TWO undefeated teams.
Wins and losses for other programs don't matter as much as long as we can find weaknesses for Clemson to exploit when the time comes.

I did too. Now, as long as Clemson continues to win, the rest will take care of itself.

I will pull for Georgia and South Carolina to lose. Other than that, I don't really care.

I always pull for the underdog...unless it’s USCe.

Imagine the atmosphere at the game, and t.v. ratings if undefeated Clemson were closing their season against an undefeated and high ranked u-soft-c. The excitement of facing a game where the outcome was not known (like it was this year, way before the season started). Game-day would invade the place. It would be as wild as a National Championship game. Imagine the excitement and anticipation if Clemson had 3 top 10 teams on their schedule. Imagine the acc championship if we were facing an undefeated, top 5 ranked opponent. Ratings would be out the roof. I'm starting to pull for teams that I don't like to step up and do their part. Only I'm not in any way pulling for Notre Dame. That's not going to happen. They aught to go to the big 10 (or go away).

I would much rather see ND win than Georgia

I don't care what they did 50 or 75 years ago, Georgia is the bigger threat right now and we still rely heavily on getting recruits out of Georgia. I would be much happier if the Dawgs were an 8-9 wins a year type of program.

I see it this way.
Only one team must win: Clemson
I would like 3 other teams to win if they don't play Clemson: Army, Navy, and Wake
All other 118 teams should lose.
South Carolina must lose... twice.

I used to hate South Carolina with a passion. As I’ve become a man I’ve started to realize that our success does not depend on their failure and I miss their 5 peat days where there was actually some hype leading up to the game. Even though we lost 2012 was one of the best football games I’ve ever watched.
Whether you can admit it or not a better ACC and a better South Carolina program is better for college football and better for the rivalry.

For me, pulling against Georgia and the Coots is a given.

Other than that, I only pull for other teams to lose specifically if it advances Clemson's postseason chances. AS long as WE don't lose a game, I don't have to pull against other Atlantic Division teams. But, if we somehow slip up and lose an ACC game, then you best believe I will be pulling for losses for our division brethren, so we can still make the ACC Championship game!
