Anybody had this Bud/Jim Beam Copper Lager?

Oct 25, 2018, 11:06 AM

Sounds like it may be pretty good: https://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/29/365203/

But there's no chocolate, or pumpkin spice, butterfingers

or fruit taste in it.

How can that be a good beer?

Well, TBH, aging in Beam barrels does impart a different

flavor, just maybe not the fruit or nut flavor you were expecting. If you want nut in your beer, RH_Tig had one on hear yesterday from Planters, IIRC.

Nut in a beer? Don't mind if i do!

^^^ this guy knows what he likes

But seriously man, widen your horizons. It's OK to like a variety of things instead of hating all but one thing. Some of the "beers" you're making fun of are actually boozy milkshakes made with beer.

2024 white level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Well, now I know where all the fun isn't in the midwest.

Pretty smooth

Oct 25, 2018, 11:12 AM

The drunk is a little more intense than that of a lighter beer, I found myself getting a little meaner that usual. Was a nice contrast to the typical apathetic, the world could burn for all I care attitude I find myself having when getting drunk off of other beers.

It mixes with marijuana well, but I did find it greatly reduced my driving ability after drinking 10 of them. I assume this is due to the higher alcohol content.

Seems to develop into a nice tight and round beer belly, similar to that of a pregnant woman. I much prefer this over the flabby type of beer belly a typically Budweiser provides.

Really would recommend it, perfect 5/7.

YOU DIDN'T EVEN COMMENT ON THE MOUTHFEEL

Oct 25, 2018, 11:15 AM

OR THE LACING.

2024 purple level memberringofhonor-greenr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

It definitely lacks some of the drinkability that I like

Oct 25, 2018, 11:20 AM

But that's not to say this beer cannot be chugged. Going to be tough to shotgun two of them back to back, but it can be done.

If you're looking to get day drunk during family functions/events then I would choose something else.

I'd never spend $10 on a 6 of Bud. Defeats the purpose.***

Doesn't make much sense if it's actually good

Oct 25, 2018, 11:29 AM

I buy cheap beer because it's sessionable. It shouldn't really matter what the brand is, so if this is actually good, then why not?

Besides, this is still pretty cheap- $12.99 for a 12 pack: https://www.totalwine.com/beer/lager/american-style-lager/budweiser-copper-lager/p/208582127

you haven't had it?

Not sure why you'd think those were dummy accounts.

beer aisle. It is, after all, my least favorite beer paired with my least favorite bourbon. So maybe the old 'two wrongs make a right' theory applies here.

if I ever see ONE for sale, I will buy and try

Oct 25, 2018, 1:33 PM

not buying a 12er for experimentation purposes just to have a $15 drain pour.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Can't imagine something like that would be that bad

Oct 25, 2018, 5:05 PM

I've also never poured a beer down the drain.

2024 white level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I saw it discontinued at Walmart for $2 a 6 pack.

Oct 25, 2018, 1:36 PM

Still didn’t buy
