epidural bleeds, which are arterial, from downhill impacts.. you're totally fine, headcahe, then dead.. usually within 20mins of injury with very little warning sign. Happens that fast bc of the arterial pressure. Hopefully that's not the case, but its an educated an reasonable guess.
It could have been a venous bleed, subdural or subarachnoid, which would have bettwr prognosis but seems less likely.
Whatever the case, my prayers are with him, his care team of medical personal, amd hos family and friends.

Personal friend got hit in back of head by truck side mirror while biking and had bleeds on both sides of brain.
Emergency Room Dr. was in car behind truck and gave instant care at scene and got to hospital almost immediately which saved her life, but she is mentally incapacitated as result still.
God help him and the doctors in that surgery room.

The Neurosurgical ICU Doctors said the bleeds are generally short duration but the subsequent swelling caused by the hematoma is the biggest threat not only immediately but having long term effects if survived.
