Hey TigerNet Nation. My great nephew was injured tonight in the Batesburg-Leesville vs. Strom Thurmond game. He's a junior punter for the B-L Panthers (who won 18-15 to clinch their region championship) and he made a game saving tackle on a Rebel punt return. Unfortunately, though his tackle saved the victory, he tore the ACL and MCL in his left knee. Having surgery to repair it early tomorrow morning. His name is Alex and he's a Tiger to the core - bleeds orange just like his uncle. Please pray for a full recovery. Thanks, God bless, and GO TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!

Did the same thing shedding a block on the defensive line three years ago, tell him to take rehab seriously. I didn't take it too serious and still have problems with mine. Praying for him.

I sent Alex a text about all you guys' support. Here's his response: "Thank you all so much. GO TIGERS!!!!" His surgery is scheduled for 7 AM tomorrow. Thanks everyone!

Expect a full recovery with no lingering issues. When you get the cartilage involved all bets are off.

Alex and his parents met with the orthopedist this morning. No meniscus damage. Surgery in 5-7 days. Doctors expect full recovery with proper therapy. Thanks again to everyone for your prayers and expressions of concern.
