Baseball scholly's aren't full schollies

Plus I trust the coaching staff is making the right moves behind the scenes concerning Ray Ray.

He just got a free college degree, and he's been offered a job that will keep him in football, at Clemson, and in school long enough to earn a master's degree for free.

The vast majority of students at Clemson could only hope to be half as lucky.

"Raise your hand if you're envisioning Charlie Brown trying to kick that football and Lucy yanking it away right at the last minute.

That's South Carolina football in a nutshell."

Technically, they could be.

Baseball can and does use full scholarships for a very limited number of players. They are few and far between obviously due to the limited dollars available in baseball

I'd rather have him on a football scholarship...

and playing baseball at the same time. That way, he doesn't count against coach Leggett's 11.7 scholarships.

It is my understanding that any dual sport athlete who plays football as one of his sports MUST use football money for his scholarship.

They have to be on the "head count" sport

Mar 10, 2008, 9:39 AM [ in reply to Scholarships ]

its not just football. I don't know what they would do if you played football and basketball.

Dang. Better learn not to give up on this team

I went out and cut the grass at 11-4. If we figure out how to get out of an inning after we get 2 outs, we will be fine.
