Poll: How long will this COVID-19 go???

Posted: Mar 17, 2020, 11:35 AM

Whatcha think?

How long will this COVID-19 deal extend to?    [Results]

August 2020 - we're in this for the long haul
June 2020 - once the summer starts, we're good
4-6 weeks from now - once we do this "everybody stay at home" idea, after giving it a while, this thing is going to be dead
A few weeks - it's only a matter of time before something else comes up in the news, and our attention spans can't survive a multi-week story

Killarney is where we meet our outfitter prior to heading off to camp.

Pike fishing is great. Haven't been able to figure out the Walleye.

We're probably going to have to deal with it long-term

I'm not sure this is ever really going to go away. I think it's a matter of how the world adapts to new routines.

He's talking about social distancing but washing your hands doesn't hurt.

Basically, we all need to live in an isolated oxygen-filled bubble until this passes.

historically, pandemics go about 3 months, but flattening

the curve will drag it out some. That's good though, so the system does not get overwhelmed.

August.

But the flu of 1918 came back in the fall of that year and killed some 200,000 more.

My SWAG on this is that the virus will slow down down and fade by late summer/early fall, then hit hard again just before the end of the year carrying over well into 2021.

Hopefully the vaccine will be available closer to 6 months from now rather than a year +.

This virus doesn't care about polls.

True. Cause as of last night all the street lights were still working in my town and all the flags were still flying. When it takes down our polls we’re all doomed.
