Poem for christ - a late christmas post

I wasn't able to post this on Christmas as I wanted. It's something I wrote and hope that someone may enjoy. Nothing but love for my fellow Tigers.



Heavy is my head that wears the crown
Weakened by the weight of the cross I bare
My soul is in pain and it's broken down
Through thorns I see with a bloody stare

No prayer can save me now

And as I stumble along, I break my bones
All eyes upon me, want to see me fall and fold
I'm beaten, broken and scared by their stones
These nails are all I have left now to hold

No prayer can set me free now

My crooked and cracked crown hangs low
With each step I'm lazing like an old man done
The voices around me, they offer no sorrow
I struggle on, beneath the hot scorching sun

No prayer can save me now

I stumble through the sinners, swallowers of anger
Raise me up and bury this cross in the ground
Looking over the masses, I see no strangers
I bleed for you all and close my eyes with no sound

My prayer will set you free now

I didn't TD it but it seems more of of The Amphitheater board post and not so much football so I could understand someone TD for those reasons alone.
