And their reasons for not being better are all ridiculous. They aren’t a small school, so they have plenty of students and alumni. Their academic requirements for athletes don’t prevent them from accepting players who want to go there. Granted, they don’t have a ton of athlete-friendly majors, but they have some and it’s not like players are having to major in engineering.

It all comes down to administrative support and fan interest. If those aren’t in place, it’s going to be tough to recruit good players and have a good gameday atmosphere for players.

I don’t think Paul Johnson’s offense helps much, but I also don’t think it is the reason why they don’t recruit better. Paul is right when he says that they need better facilities, and for that to happen they need better administrative support.

Mickey - I am a little surprised by your comment about Free Shoes U but I do think our defense this year has the potential to make all of those teams look mediocre at best! GO TIGERS!!!
