Nice list. Appreciate it. It's hard to argue someone ahead of a Mackey award winner. I could see 1 and 2 switched. I was at Clemson in the Benny Cunningham tenure. He was great. His size in those days was different with good hands.

John McMakin was not on our roster in 1974, but played professionally with the Steelers also I think, along with Cunningham...when you look at the Red Parker Era, Bennie was the best player we had back then in that era.

and Tommy Sharpe. Sharpe was one of my favorite. 250 lb walk on who would get laughed at by opposing linemen at the line of scrimmage before the snap bc of his size. Then he would proceed to put them on their rear end as soon as the ball was snapped. Hank Phillips was good too. You never heard his name bc he did his job and didn't mess up.

NO FARMERS NO FOOD

I'll never forget the catch Palmer made against Miami. He was knocked out cold in mid-air, spun a full 360, and still held on to the ball for the catch. I watched that one over and over.

The Hit On Palmer....

is a targeting call now. It's a good example of why head hunting should and is outlawed .

I don't how he was able to hold on to the ball .
