Greenville Drive trying to bring ACC Baseball Championship back to Greenville

4 ACC schools in North Carolina home-field/home-area advantage every year compared to the rest of the conference?

Just like the basketball tournament. Isn't it right to pretty-much ALWAYS have it in Greensboro?

You are correct: the Triangle schools have enjoyed

an unprecedented home field advantage in the conference baseball tournament for decades----though it remains a distant second to the cheating/blatant advantage all 4 North Carolina schools have enjoyed as the ACC Basketball Tournament has been held in their backyards about 50 times.

HOWEVER---it was the whiny jerk Mike Martin who initiated the conferences orginal boycott of having the baseball tournament anywhere around Greenville because--Martin claimed--it gave Clemson an unfair home field advantage after Clemson fans made the series the most successful in ACC history up to that time

Do I hope this will happen, you bet your ### I do

Now will it happen? I say no b/c the conference leadership would rather give events to locations that are either in Tobacco Road's back yard or to cater to the newer schools up north.

Hopefully, this will happen now that Molasses Martin has

Having the tournament in Greenville would be awesome

Just wish it could be out at the old Greenville Braves
stadium which is a city park now. I loved going to the
games out there. The traffic flowed pretty good and
parking was right beside the stadium and it's near Hwy
85 and easy access to Greenville and Mauldin.

I've been to games at Fluor Field and it's a nice facility
and nice area, but the traffic is more congested with it
being downtown and parking is a couple blocks from the
stadium. But it's a great atmosphere and great crowd and
lots of stuff nearby.
