that bedevil you puny humans, but might I suggest that you force your cholesterol to surrender by attacking it with the offensive firepower of eating several Bacon beer cheese Sloppy Joes at every meal?

Play the hand you're dealt.

Mar 19, 2019, 7:53 AM

My first check was 425 but that was in 1980. After a month of eating only rabbit food I dialed in a 325. After that first heart surgery with five bypasses I spent the next 18 years eating what I wanted including Hardees' biscuits in the morning and a quick drive through lunch. Three more bypasses and I started taking medications for my issues. I kept it around 125 for the following 18 years.

Now, one stent and a balloon job on another artery I have an appointment to get it checked again. This time I'm doing meds and diet but the weight is slow coming off. All my experience indicates that medication alone won't solve the problem.

Diet or go through my nightmare.

Agree. Been on meds for 10 years or so but kept gaining

and never had high blood pressure, but my cholesterol has always been high same as my mom and several of my siblings. i didn't worry about it much til mom had to have a balloon put in an artery in her neck. that's when i decided to take my doctor's advice and go on meds for it.

That was a year and a half ago. Somehow, I think those numbers are worse now.
