Plantation Shutters

I am looking to invest in some plantation shutters for the windows on the front of my house. Does anybody on here have any experience in this form of window dressing? Has anybody used Blinds.com? I know Home Depot and Lowes have kiosks set up for semi-custom type offerings. Has anybody used those? Thoughts?

Pro Tip: Unless you want to drop some big money the faux wood looks just as good as the real thing.

Not exactly, but it is a farm house that used to employee black workers to work in the fields. Also, I own a cream colored seersucker suit.

I ordered 2" wood horiz blinds for front windows. All look good, decent hardware, and arrived timely. Easy install.

Never dealt with shutters. Have a buddy that installs them. Clemson fella in the Charleston area.

Get the tilt rod shutters

You can close the bottom half for a little privacy and open the top half to let sunlight in.

Fair warning I think the shutter industry is controlled by the mafia because they are insanely expensive
