People on the basketball court

OK, most universities have the players, game announcers, clock operator, etc sit along the length of the court on the side usually seen during a TV broadcast. So who thought it would be a good idea for Clemson to have all the old people sit along the length of the court?
I'm guessing they paid a pretty penny for the privilege, but it's just a bad look.

Bingo! Paid a lot for those seats. Add to that, they are instructed to stay seated and not engage players or officials and it looks like they are sitting at a wake.

somebody gonna get destroyed sitting there one day. Hate to say it, but it's just so apparent. Those folks can't get out of the way of a oncoming player diving at them.

I'm not sure but they do have to pay a pretty penny to sit there and I think they have a "code of conduct" agreement type deal. They can't stand and raise H&!! like you/we can in the regular "common folk" seating.

I would like to see our bench moved to the other side of the court. I was at nc state and students were located behind our bench heckling us the entire game. I would love to see our students doing this at Clemson. I don’t like the camera pointing at the back of our bench.

were behind the 2 ends of the court and on the side of the court of the team benches. Iptay was then located on the other side (non camera side) of the court. When LJ was renovated recently, for some reason they switched it. Also, it looks like they have limited the students to 1 end of the court now
