People complaining about the play calling I bet

were sitting in their warm cozy homes watching the game on TV.
It was coming down very consistently with strong winds.
The rain picked up a whole lot after the 1st half, so no wonder you play CONSERVATIVE with a two TD + lead.
Irish were forced to air it out due to no run game and playing from behind.
If it weren't for all the underneath crosses that we couldn't stop for some reason, the philosophy made more sense.
So if you were at the game and have that opinion, we'll agree to disagree.
If you were at your cozy home though, stop being an arm chair QB because you don't understand how bad it was there.

The pass to Peake that got picked. We could have fed Gallman and put the game away.

in the North upper, and had actually said at that moment, "Keep handing it to Gallman" about the time Watson dropped back and threw the pick.

We were not as creative on the run calls that I felt we should have been. I hope we get the playcalling situation figured out soon. There's no excuse for not getting a 1 first down in those last 3 possessions!
Regardless, appreciative of the effort the Tigers gave and getting the win! Great heart, great effort, and never say die attitude!
GO TIGERS! ????

That is one of the best DL we will see all year.
Too much speed to run East/West consistently unless with Scott which was nice.

Did we throw any quick screens? Seems like the outside game was working pretty well - at least in the first half.

Tickets 1 hour before the game on the street. Was not overly expensive and easy. Couldn't risk not having a crowd there. HAD to go! No choice!

The fact that ND COULD throw it is probably why

some are upset. Because we SHOULD have thrown it a little more. Very happy with the win and will take 11 more like it, but those that are not happy with the "playing not to lose" approach in the 2nd half, have every right. And oh yeah, don't ever effing pooch kick again.

And yet ND managed to throw passes to their Spider Man fingered receivers (Yes they had their share of drops as well)and pull within two....not complaining at all, just saying.

agree but want to adress the crossing routs

Ive read a lot of opinions on here... and heres mine.
Fisrt- I do think we went to a less aggressive approach, not a full prevent, but we were trying to keep a couple of guys deep to keep everything in front of us. On those crossing routs it seemed like we vacated the middle with our LB's just giving them the middle and they blocked it well downfield.
All in all- that game couldve been a blowout if we couldve run just a little more effectively in the 4th. It is a great W and dont forget that this isnt time to peak... I hope we constantly get better and better to peak in Novemember/ December

Problem in crossing routes is Blanks can't run anymore

and Goodson and Boulware play zone well but lack the speed to cover a dragging WR. No easy fixes here
