If Michigan and Oklahoma win out which one makes CFP?

Nov 4, 2018, 1:43 PM

Assuming Bama, Clemson and Notre Dame win out it leave one spot open. Who gets that spot?

Michigan has remaining on the schedule:
Rutgers
Indiana
Ohio state
Big 10 CG

Oklahoma has remaining on the schedule:
Oklahoma State
Kansas
West Virginia
Big 12 CG

Would Oklahoma’s harder schedule bump them ahead on Michigan?

Michigan for sure. They are looking legit.

Oklahoma quite honestly is boring at best, so it is what it is.

Cotton: Alabama vs Michigan
Orange: Clemson vs Notre Dame

Michigan easily. OU has had several other close calls and a much worse loss.

I can tell you I'd prefer to see Mich than OK.

I think OK is a harder match up. Big10 looks pedestrian. OhSt is a fake 8-1 team. I've now watched their last 3 games and their lines are terrible.
PSU is marginal and would be 3-5 in the ACC.

OK can score points. I'd rather play Mich knowing we'd beat the khakis off of them than get in a shootout with OK.

It would be Bama vs michigan/Oklahoma
And Clemson vs ND.

Who gives Bama a better game? Michigan or Oklahoma.

Michigan. Oklahoma, shoot the entire Big 12, doesn't play

defense.

Penn State would be the best team in the Coastal

Nov 4, 2018, 2:16 PM [ in reply to I can tell you I'd prefer to see Mich than OK. ]

so I'm not sure how they would finish 3-5 in the league. They obviously aren't nearly as good as us, but they definitely seem to be on the same level as Cuse, BC, and State.

Penn State should have lost to App St. in week one. App St.

Nov 4, 2018, 2:33 PM

lost 34-31 in OT in Happy Valley, but they out-gained Penn State with 451 total yards of offense to Penn State's 434 yards. Seven ACC teams have better offensive production per game than Penn State.

No room for them

Clemson, ND, 2 top Sec schools are in. Unless Clemson and ND drop 2.

Not sure why the OP neglected saying OU/WVU winner instead of just omitting WVU. WVU has lost ONE game and they have an easy schedule too.

That being said - Desdumb says Michigan will play in the CFP and win it all, so he's probably right on this one. The Big 12 seems weak to me (even though the Big 10 is just as weak or weaker). Too many in the right places that make all the decisions will pick a Big 10 team over the Big 12 every time. Same for the SEC - they are always picked FIRST. We may not see that change in our lifetime.
