Sometimes I wonder if it isn't already - to some degree. Do athletes really have to meet the same academic entrance requirements as non-athletes? Do they really face the same academic load and challenges? I have personally known athletes in the past who played college sports and could not possibly have done college level course work, much less gotten a degree without all kinds of special "help".
