Passed a Coot in the store today

Sep 13, 2015, 2:24 PM

And he looked at my orange hat and said "hey, thems the wrong colors har har har"

So I politely reminded him that they lost to Kentucky last night!!!

He got a little teal in the face and needless to say he knew I had outwitted and outembarrassed him.

Classic!

I'm not watching a sport where they condone in-stadium alcohol consumption and where adults in adult environments openly cuss around other adults. I don't hate my family, thank you very much.

I consume in our stadium, but don't cuss around anyone. I'd say alcohol consumption is encouraged at Death Valley. Knowing your limit is up to each individual.

all the people who sneak mini bottles in are the only Clemson fans...

who make arses out of themselves. Sorry but if you can't go 3 hours without alcohol you need to check in to rehab

IDK, during the west and Tommy Bowden eras, I could not watch Clemson football without a drink.

Been sober as a judge since Dabo took over.

Pretty bold statement there

Sep 13, 2015, 7:13 PM [ in reply to all the people who sneak mini bottles in are the only Clemson fans... ]

I occasionally bring a mini bottle into the game. I barely ever get out with my work schedule and like to have a little fun at Clemson games. I don't cuss at the games but I cheer loud. Don't need to go around making generalizations bc everyone is not like you

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

maybe you should follow the rules Clemson has set for the stadium...

Sep 13, 2015, 7:21 PM

if you don't like the rules contact the AD and University President

I think the stadium should be divided with a drinking section and a non drinking section....and during half time strippers come to the drinking section and drop it like it's hot!

no alcohol is not encouraged inside the stadium...

Sep 13, 2015, 3:19 PM [ in reply to Re: Passed a Coot in the store today ]

It's against the rules and you can be kicked out of the stadium if you get caught. And those of us that bring kids to games don't like alcoholic behavior to be on display in front of kids

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

what about at tailgates?

Sep 13, 2015, 7:20 PM

im sure alcohol is in front of your kids there.

2024 white level member flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

get a clue I was talking about binge drinkers who show out in the stadium..

Sep 13, 2015, 7:25 PM

not casual drinkers having a few before the game. If you had any reading comprehension at all, you would notice I was referring to over the top drunken behavior. Which is rare at Clemson. I just pointed out that the people who do act in that manner sneak in mini bottles.

So, let me get this straight...

Sep 13, 2015, 6:51 PM

You don't watch NFL games at home because the league- like any other professional league- allows fans to buy beer at the game?

I don't know what's more ridiculous, your logic or your moralizing.

badge-donor-15yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

your logic is flawed, my point dealt with kids not myself personally...

Sep 13, 2015, 7:14 PM

I didn't say anything about the NFL either. I was talking college football. I've been to an NFL game before and most likely wouldn't take a young kid in that environment with all the binge drinking. I wasn't moralizing either. I was making the point Clemson games have always been kid friendly, and that should never change. And it will never change, because Clemson won't allow out. And besides we have very few fans that binge drink.

So next time address what I did post, and not make an assumption that was completely wrong.

Sep 13, 2015, 7:17 PM

I've literally drank at he games with people who have brought their kids. No reason to get all Bible Belt on the other fans that do drink...

Behavior, not casual drinking.

What reality do you live in??? Most college students benge drink. At any college.

Sep 13, 2015, 7:33 PM

I was talking about behavior in the stadium. Which 99% of time isn't a problem. Seems like I struck a chord with the alcoholics who are on this board. If you don't like the stadium rules take that up with the AD and University President.

Re: Learn how to read. I didn't say a thing about college students partying...

Actually, you assumed one person who has brought mini bottles into the stadium was an over the top alcoholic that needed to be checked into rehab.

And have since been freaking out on anyone who responded to any of your posts in this thread. You're the one who needs to get a clue man.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

wow... how did this thread take such a wierd turn ?..

Sep 13, 2015, 6:59 PM

i might suggest that many (probably most ) football fans enjoy a beverage or 2. Your original post seems very immature, and the follow up was worse. jmho
