So, what was driving reason for the ticket lottery system?

What was broken?

Are the latest generation too "snowflake" to camp for tix or get up early?

Parents and students

Think it started getting legs about 6-9 years ago for both basketball and football. Parents complaining that their kids didn't get tickets because they had to leave for work or class. Also complaints with one person holding spots for 10 people. Students also having to camp out for basketball tickets in freezing weather made the issue more of a health concern and those theories also were brought back into football conversation.

CUAD and CUSG seem to have been playing with how to do this for a while now.

I personally like the idea of if your ticket isn't scanned you lose rights to a ticket for upcoming games. If a person couldn't go they would have to get a replacement.

I don't see a problem with 1 person holding 10 ID cards.

They all want to sit together and it cuts back on overcrowding line. But, like you said, if the ticket doesn't get used they should lose priority.
