I wouldn’t mind seeing TL and Mac playing on the same team but the panthers have a poor history with Clemson players and I don’t think they can manage to get TL.

Should the Panthers tank for Trevor Lawrence?
Trevor Lawrence is a once-in-a-generation QB talent. With Cam Newton out the door and new head coach Matt Rhule in, a tank for the Clemson QB could set the Panthers up for the long term.

You would rather him be coached by Jason Garrett than Joe Brady? I'm a Packers fan but all bias aside, Carolina would be a great spot for TLaw.

To have Trevor as the first ever drafted Clemson player would be awesome. I will say that if you draft Trevor, give the man some protection with about 4 new lineman and 2 good receivers.

but they could take an aggressive 3 year approach that might lead to very high pick next year (then trade up to get TL). Replace Kuechly this year and get a great left tackle (TL) and a value pick at WR. Then trade up to get TL and some more help at O-line & WR. Then fill in the other weaknesses on D in the 3rd year.

There are a lot of teams that feel set at quarterback. If one of those teams happens to have the first pick, it would only make sense to trade down where you could still address your needs and rack up more draft picks in the process. All depends on who ends up at #1.
