PGA Players Championship

The first flight is nearing completion of their First Round . . . Sabbatini and Matsuyama are Leading @ -5 . . . both have a few holes yet to play . . .

The PGA will continue to play their scheduled tournament . . . but starting tomorrow, they will play "fan free" through the Valero Championship being played the first weekend in April.

Lucas finishes round one at -2. Also, they just interviewed him about his snarky twitter post from this morning regarding the PGA Tour being slow to react.

Hole #17 to get him to -3 . . . but a bogey on the final hole settled him @ -2 for the day.

Sabbatini slid to -4 . . . While Matsuyama still leads @ -7, with one hole to play.

Enjoy watching the Live Coverage which just began on the Golf Channel and will air through 7pm tonight.


Matsuyama's last hole was the Par 5 9th . . . Which he EAGLED to finish his opening round @ -9!!!!!!!

3-putts cost him the bogies but his shot-making was good except for a couple of errant drives.

by shooting -2 today . . . Kyle's round was a bit more dramatic with 7 birdies and 5 bogies . . .

Order of play will flip-flop tomorrow, Kyle will play in the morning and Lucas will whack it about in the afternoon . . .

Good to see the Tigers are in contention. Continue to be puzzled at Jordan Speith's continued struggles with his game considering the huge amount of success he had a couple of year ago.
