OT: Best restaurants in Litchfield? Thanks!

Best bet: head up to Murrells Inlet! "docksiders" I think - good stuff!

Jun 14, 2014, 10:21 AM

Plenty to choose from though, as Litchfield has expanded. There's also a great little hole in the wall seafood place right off hwy 17 near the entrance road to the beach there at Litchfield, but don't recall the name. It's really excellent food!
Plenty of choices all around there, just try one (that looks the most run-down &you'll probably be very surprised at how good the food is!).
Bon Appetit!
Bring me back a sharks tooth & some crablegs!!!
My hungry buddy Jameis Winston is trying to steal all the food from my fridge & walk out....

Head a couple miles to Frank's on 17 at Pawley's. Not cheap, but very good

While you are at Pawley's, stop by Bistro 217. Excellent food, a little pricey but well worth it. Try the salad with scallops, goat cheese, prossciutto, and spinach.

Stung by many a jellyfish there over the years...

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Some personal favorites....

Jun 14, 2014, 11:39 AM

for breakfast/brunch--eggs up grill; one of the original stores that moved across the street several years ago, although it is owned by coots the food is very good

lunch--Bistro 217, Litchfield Restaurant

Dinner--Drunken Jacks in Murrells--and really like their downstairs pub "Snug Harbor" until it gets crowded.

Like I said, those are just some of my favorites

Good recommendations here. My folks live down there... Here's my advice. Franks is my favorite. Bistro 217 is great too. The Fish House at the entrance of Lichfield is all fried and over priced form what it is IMO. If you want the fried seafood, make your way up to murrells inlet. I also like PIT as someone else also mentioned.

Austin's Ocean One on top of Litchfield Inn front office...

Jun 14, 2014, 11:47 AM

Ocean front...full length windows over looking ocean...incredible food! Now it is fairly expensive, does require a reservation...or used to anyway...and the atmosphere isn't really suited for kids so much, but for you and the wife WELL worth it! Enjoy!

Go 15 minutes south to Georgetown....The Rice Patty upscale like Franks, Big Tuna great fried or broiled seafood, The River Room and Al Fresco Italian. I live an hour away in Lake City and have made the 1 hour drive there and eaten at all of these multiple times in the last year. All very good....

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Frank's in Pawleys or Lee's Inlet Kitchen in M.I.

Jun 14, 2014, 2:11 PM

Jun 14, 2014, 11:48 PM

Again it was great food!

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up
