Ohio State still hurting

I just read on bleacher report that the " buck nuts" have the Clemson score posted on the wall in their weight facility so they wont forget. I've always heard not to let one loss cause you to have two losses. Maybe they should get over it.

Fortunately for them they won't face a team with similar talent until the CFP next season.

However, that is where the problem could come in.

If they face a team with similar talent in a semifinal that is not named Clemson, and especially if Clemson is still on the horizon, it could cause them to have misplaced focus heading into a competitive game.

Honestly the only difference between OSU and Clemson in the perception of the BIG10 is better than that of the ACC.

There is nobody who compares with the talent of either team in their conference.

It's a 9 or 10 game battle to maintain focus against lesser conference opponents for each.

You mean when they lost to an ok Auburn team as the end of the season approached and then they were extremely ready to play us in their revenge game?

As I stated, the problem comes when a "revenge team" faces another quality opponent that is not the one where they are seeking revenge. It is compounded when that opponent falls right before the revenge driving team.

If Bama had survived Auburn that season that may have likely lost to UGA.

Once we were put in front of them however, they played the game much more determined than they showed the second half of that season.

They also had a hangover effect after our game which lasted into the national championship.

They are actually the perfect example of why focusing on revenge vs one opponent can be hurtful.
