Options for TV at Tailgate

Jul 25, 2017, 12:51 PM

It seems like Dish is the main option. According to some antenna sites, the only channel we could get with just a powered antenna would be PBS out of Greenville (no networks with football). I wish cell service was better on gamedays because I would just stream with unlimited data...

Anything more affordable than the Dish Tailgater?

The folks that we used to tailgate beside used to bring a TV, long cable, and a splitter to tap into whatever game we had on with the DirecTV setup. Did that for multiple years and didn't bother us.

Yessir, I mounted mine with a little liquid nails and half a 2x8. If reception gets bad, I just crank her up and cut the tires.

Could use a little duct tape, though.

You must be confusing me with some of these rednecks round here. I only use duck tape for emergencies and when the kids get out of hand.

I have tmobile and I've been able to stream

Do you have friends. .with dish or direct?
Borrow thier box. Buy a cheap regular dish..find signal yourself.

It's easier than people make it out. Just need patience.

Pick up an LNB meter for less than $20.

Just know where 110 and 119 South is and start from there.
The Superdish 1000's are a little trickier with 3 LNB's but if you don't need HD then a 500 will do.

Without an interface to connect to the LNB how do you adjust for signal strength.
The app would be easy enough but could you insert a link for the hardware used?
