Hmmm. Maybe ACC football is better than some think.
Or Maybe the $EC football teams are over rated. Over hyped.

I have a different take on Miami from last night. I saw a young team that made a lot of mistakes but could be a very strong team later in the season. I bet the Tigers will look a lot better by next Thursday than if we had to play yesterday. The penalties is something they can clean up.

an AP Poll #'s 24 and 25. Lots of talent, but very sloppy. Miami's OL was non existent. UF turnovers.

I am also a UF fan, and I was very disappointed in their playing (I did think #8 was too high). UF finished strong in 2018, but sure didn't start 2019 that good. However a win is a win. Miami looked as I expected; lots of changes in that program. I do expect both to improve as the season progresses.

What I saw was a very athletic, young team with a coaching staff that developed an offensive system around the talent they have on hand. They will be dangerous to contend with for sure. Mistakes and discipline aside, they came in with a good game plan and had a very good shot at winning that one. I honestly see them getting better through the year and having a great shot at winning the coastal. They certainly will not face another defense like that for the rest of the regular season.

I don't think we can read TOO much into a game that was played so early in the season. It was sloppy and ugly but both teams will have time to fix those problems. Except maybe Miami's offensive line. I'm not sure there's a way to fix that. I feel bad for their quarterback...he ran for his life all night.

Just another case of the pollsters over-rating mediocre teams from the $EC in an attempt to give the few decent team they do have (i.e., Georgia) a win against a ranked opponent.
