One fun fact about Boston College...

They aren’t located in Boston. They are located in Chestnut Hill. It’s the equivalent of NC State being located in Virginia.

Hopefully the ACC does the right thing and kicks these clowns out. They are embarrassing the conference on and off the field.

Idiots and liars, can you imagine if a school like Wake Forest tried that?***

No "traditional" ACC team like Wake Forest would try that kind of garbage.

You only get that from Boston and Miami, the Big East rejects.

It's not even a college either.***

Can you imagine the ridicule they would suffer if their name was Chestnut Hill College.

Hey what’s that on your girlfriend’s chest? My nu+$.

Have you actually seen the wimminz at BC?

Rarely are you going to find any nuts on those chests.

For a school with over 15,000 students, the pickins' are a bit slim.

Not sure how the dudes manage to get through those long harsh winters.

Of course, as Robert D Raiford used to say, "the worst I ever had was still wonderful".

Man, all these schools have it WRONG

You don't name the college after the city, you name the city after the college!

You are correct as always Francis.

And we can be very proud that Clemson University is actually in Clemson, SC. We're very classy and the Chestnut Hillbillies are not.

Yay Us!

Or maybe the equivalent of Clemson being located in Columbia.

Clemson is not in Columbia. Hope that helps!***

If pigs are so smart, why do 66% of them use weak and inferior materials during construction?

Neither is the Georgia Institute of Technology.

while stationed at Hanscom Air Force Base - just outside of Boston - I became a huge fan of the pizza and cannolis, and don’t kid yourself: there’s plenty of good looking women in Boston. Plus, everybody knows your name . . .

It's worse than that. It's like Duke being in Chapel Hill.

Chestnut Hill is a neighborhood, and is on the western side of NEWTON, MA. Not even the same city! Can you imagine the tarholes being accused of being in Durham? :):):)

The University of Miami is in Coral Gables, Florida.

They may not be smart...

But at least they win championships from time to time. BC can’t claim either.

What is up with our Private schools being geographically challenged.

Boston College = Not in City of Boston
Wake Forest Univ = Not in Wake Forest NC
Univ of Miami = Not in City of Miami
Notre Dame is neither in France nor Ireland... not the Atlantic Coast. Technically, it is in the Notre Dame Statistical Area https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Notre_Dame,_Indiana

finally...
Duke Univ = Not in Duke NC (really: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duke_Township,_Harnett_County,_North_Carolina)

Now you are going to tell me that UNC isn't in the San Fransisco Bay area... sheesh.

In Duke's defense, it was named after the mayonaisse Tycoon,

Charleston Southern University is in North Charleston, SC and is almost at the northernmost point of that city.

Wow, now that you say that. So, it should be Northern Charleston University.

It does happen. USC is in LA, and Southern California isn't a state.

Re: One fun fact about Boston College...

Posted: Oct 28, 2020, 5:20 PM

Au contraire, mon friere!

Southern California is a FINE state of mind!!

You just need to cue-up some Beach Boys (tunes) about french bikinis on the sand. You will see the light.

Then how do you explain Appalachian State....

Re: One fun fact about Boston College...

Posted: Oct 29, 2020, 2:41 PM

Isn't there a Beach Boys song with a lyric that says "northern girls keep their boyfriends warm at night". Maybe that's more desirable than a pretty SCal woman. BUT.....

"I wish they all could be Clemson Tiger girls!".

Like Syracuse actually being in NY

Saw Coastal having a Myrtle Beach ADDY

Posted: Oct 29, 2020, 6:00 PM

Sometimes you will see them say Coastal is located in Myrtle Beach! You wonder if that's a "recruiting ploy" because MB sounds better than Conway, SC. They are close enough. Maybe that is how it was put so people would know where it is? Most people have heard of Myrtle Beach.

Wait, isn't Coastal technically in the Carolina Forrest community?
