Would be funny if Kelly headed southeast and beat

out Bentley.

I wonder if he would consider GT, GSU, or Furman with their option attacks?

But if the NFL is truly his goal, FSU or Louisville may be good places.

I don’t think he wants to play option.

But GT would be the worst landing spot for Clemson. He’d be a nice piece for PJ.

Don't we have to grant the 1 year waiting period waiver?

Sep 26, 2018, 10:39 AM

Why would we let him go to any ACC school or team we're scheduled to play?

Cole @ Beach Cole w/ Clemson Hat

Not sure. The article said immediately next year.

Sep 26, 2018, 10:45 AM

Maybe this is considered the waiting year under new rules.

If you play in 4 or less games in a season you can take

Sep 26, 2018, 10:49 AM

a redshirt...so next season will be his 4th year of eligibility in a 5 year calendar span.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I guess that would mean under grad or not...

Sep 26, 2018, 10:54 AM

A player plays immediately next year. If this is his redshirt year, then it’s like he sat out a season regardless of the 4 games played in.

It will be interesting if the NCAA keeps it that way. But I kind of like the freedom it gives to players. I think Clemson, cause Dabo is pretty straight up with guys, will be affected minimally most years by the rule.

I think you still might have to sit out the next season

Sep 26, 2018, 11:14 AM

if you are an undergrad, but you don't lose a season of eligibility if you played in less than 4 games.

But I can't keep this #### straight anymore.

Hasn't he graduated?

Sep 26, 2018, 10:46 AM [ in reply to Don't we have to grant the 1 year waiting period waiver? ]

He can transfer wherever he wants without penalty.

Pretty sure he has graduated already

Also NCAA has loosened up the transfer guidelines, I don't think coaches can block as easily
