"Oklahoma is not very good" myth

You folks do realize that they suffered 2 OT losses and got preseason votes for #1, right? In a conference that #### near sent 2 teams to the 4 team playoff? They will be better than everyone one our schedule not named FSU and will have talent comparable to the Noles and UGA.

But they lost an entire game more than us, apparently that means we are one loss away from being horrible.
Close call this season.

OKST which is obviously a rivalry game, but considering they had a 2 TD lead w 5 to go, that's a bad loss. However, OK is definitely good and here's what I said in a different thread earlier.
I'll take those last bowl 3 wins if we can beat OK.
And to add sentiment to what Skiddy said, OK is good but lost real close ones @ TCU and home to KST and were blown out by Baylor. The OKST loss was a bad loss especially considering the 2 TD lead w 5 to play, but this is still a very good team. USuCk made pre-season rankings look like a joke, but OK was preseason top 5 and high expectations this year. Keep in mind too, 3 of their 4 losses were at home, so they seem to play well on the road which is essentially what a bowl game is. Don't think for a second we are just going to waltz all over them. They have an awesome freshman phenom type RB that broke the single game rushing record earlier (think Gurley type size at 5'11, 240), a decent QB who is adored by Katy Perry (she's hot), and an explosive do it all type WR in Sheppard (think Artavis type explosiveness)....
With Watson at helm (if he plays), we should be able to move the ball and score points, but our D better be ready because OK is 9th in the country rush yards per game and the 2nd best rushing attack we've faced behind GT. In total yards per game, they are # 20th in the country averaging 481 a game. Defense wise they rank #54 in total defense giving up 387 yards and 24.8 points. Should be a good game, and I definitely don't think they should be taken lightly.

image.
I'd offer that a loss to any opponent would hurt our image, despite the bowl or our players...a result that any team would have to face. Fearing a loss is no reason for declining a bowl, but rather speaks to a timidity that I don't...nor won't...share.

they lost to TCU by 4, Kansas State by 1 and we blown out to Baylor. Not only is Baylor very good, think of our FSU game last year, things snowballed in that game. And they didn't play well against Okla State.... kind of like it took all those turnovers by us last year to lose to our rivals. They're a good team. It comes down to if Cole can not turn the ball over and give our D a chance to win the game without losing it with pick 6's. I agree with sitting DW but we just aren't the same team without him in the game. This game worries me.

Clemson faced 4 top 20 teams this year. I'm not sure you can simply claim OU is better than them, especially given their performance most recently against Ok St.
I do think Clemson will need to ply pretty well to beat them, though. As you said, they looked like one of the best teams in the country coming into the year.
